On the night of June 5-6, the Pathfinders are the first Allied soldiers to land at Normandy. The paratroopers of the 82nd and the 101st Airborne Divisions will fight the entire night, joined by the 4th Infantry Division, who landed on Utah Beach. Georges Bernage and Dominique François present the German troops and their defenses, eyewitness accounts from the paratroopers, as well as previously unpublished documents.
The historian Georges Bernage is one of France's premier experts on the 1944 Normandy Invasion. He has published over forty books on the subject since 1978.
